Standard Acupuncture

This modality involves the placement of hair-fine needles at strategic points on the body. Traditional Chinese Medicine holds that these points alter the flow of life energy along pathways called meridians. The needles alter nerve conduction and release pain relievers called endorphins.

Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture works on the same basic principles as standard acupuncture, only with electrodes stimulating the needles. The electrical current can enhance the power of the treatment.

Cupping:

Cupping boosts circulation, relaxes muscles, and releases scar tissue.

"This 200 hour advanced acupuncture training program has been offered annually for over 15 years. It has been designed to accommodate practicing chiropractors, medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, dentists, and physiotherapists, depending upon the individual regulatory college requirements. The program incorporates intensive hands-on training, the major theories in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as up to date biomedical theories in acupuncture. The course is endorsed by the Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO). Completion of this program allows licensed chiropractors to provide acupuncture services to patients as an adjunctive therapy, if the services comply with the provincial standards of practice" CMCC 2008
